Bailaora
/ dancer
This young "bailaora" dancer began her professional career
with
Cristina Hoyos.
After two years with the company she was
offered the position of
primera bailarina at
"Parque España" in Japan.
During the three years of her stay in
Osaka and Tokyo she
gave classes and began to form the studio which would eventually
lead to her own company.
Upon her return to Spain she is asked to join the company of
Adrian Galia.
Lydia presents herself at the competition
Baile por Tarantos y Alegrías de Ubrique and wins 1st Prize.
At
the
National Flamenco Competition in Córdoba she
is a finalist.
Lydia enters as soloist bailaora in the productions
"Carmen" and "Bolero" in
the
Rafael Aguilar dance
company, and is subsequently contracted to choreograph his next
show
"Pal poeta".
Her evolution from dancer to choreographer is taking form.
These
experiences lead her to start her own
company,
with which she premiered the show
"Recordándote" in
October of 2004, at the
"Gran Teatro Falla" in
Cádiz and received excellent reviews from both the public and the
critics.
For 2006, Lydia offers this show adapted for medium or small sized
theatres, acompanied by a full band of musicians.
