David García Palomar
, known as "El Palomar", was born in Cádiz 1977, in the lively neighborhood of La Viña. At 17 years old he was initiated into the world of Flamenco working in local tablaos and dance academies. Throughout his career he has had the opportunity to work with and learn from the best in the field, and David is quickly becoming one of the best new voices of flamenco in Spain today. Currently he is working on his first solo CD.

This young cantaor from Cádiz has shared the stage with some of the greatest figures of Flamenco like Vicente Amigo, Rafael de Utrera, Cristina Hoyos, Gerardo Nuñez and Alfredo Lagos. His first concert as soloist in 2004 at the Central Lechera (Cádiz) recived rave reviews. Its sucess lead to "Palomar, el Cante" perfoming again in 2005 to a sold out crowd, reciving excellent reviews from flamencologos and aficionados alike.

For 2006 “El Palomar” brings to the stage this engaging show in which the diverse “palos” and rythmns of Flamenco are aproached through his unique voice and experience of “el cante”.

In
1999 David begins accompanying various artists on numerous international tours. In the Bienal of Flamenco of this year he becomes a part of Javier Barón’s company premiering the show "Solo por arte". Following this he toured Holand with Fernando Romero e Isabel Bayón.

David returns to Holland for the second time with cantaor
Rafael de Utrera and the bailaora Carmen Lozano. He tours with the radio station COPE and with composer, director y pianist Manolo Carrasco presenting his show "Al-Andalus".
David “El Palomar” tours North America with the company of
Carmen Cortés presentaning "Racial" performing in cities like Chicago, Boston, Nueva York y New México. Alongside Carmen Cortes he premiers the production "Soleá un son eterno" together with "el Güito" at the theatre Albeniz in Madrid.

At the end of
2000 “El Palomar” is asked to form a part of the prestigous Cristina Hoyos dance company. Alongside Cristina he would share the stage for the next four and an half years. "A Compás del Tiempo" went on a world tour performing in countries such as Poland, Rusia, Japan, Germany, Chile, Peru, México, and Venezuela.

“El Palomar” priemiers
"Tierra Adentro" with the Cristina Hoyos company at the 2002 Bienal de Flamenco. He also tours Switzerland with cantaor solist Gerardo Nuñez and quintet.“El Palomar” presents himself as soloist cantaor at “Las Veladas for Young Talent” organized by the Bienal of Flamenco 2004 in Seville obtaining excelent reviews. “El Palomar” win Best Performance at the XVII Nacional Competition of “Cante por Alegrías”.

His discography colaborationes include corralist on "Aire" of Jerez cantaor José Mercé and on the disc "La luna de Tomasa" of singer "Macanita", both produced by Isidro Muñoz. Corals with popular flamenco pop group "El Barrio" on the discs "Yo sueno flamenco", "Mal de amores" y "Angel de amor". He records a CD of fusion flamenco as the lead vocalist and composer of the group Levantito. In 2005 he produced the disck of cantaora gadiatana Mariana Cornejo “Tela Marinera”.
